Líl̓wat Nation would like to advise community members that heavy rainfall is forecast through Thursday, March 16th in the Mount Currie and Pemberton Valley area.

Due to the combination of ongoing rain, freezing temperatures at higher elevations, and the current snow levels in the mountains, there is uncertainty in how rivers and creeks may respond over the next few days. These conditions can sometimes lead to unpredictable increases in river levels.

Nation staff will be closely monitoring river conditions and weather forecasts over the coming days. If any concerning developments arise, updates will be shared with the community as soon as possible.

Community members are encouraged to remain aware of local conditions, particularly near rivers, creeks, and low-lying areas.

Further updates will be provided if necessary.
