Vivian from Environmental Health of Health Canada will be coming June 2nd to hold a free food safety course. This certification is good for people wanting to get a restaurant job, local caterers, and also good for people preparing and serving food at large public gatherings.

We need to ensure food is prepared safely to prevent getting those food “bugs” that happen from time to time! We are hoping that people involved in such events will participate.
There will be a test at the end that will get you a certification if you pass.
The course is 9:00am – 4:30pm on June 2nd, location to be announced (either at Ullus or Ts’zil). Space is limited to 20-25 spots. Laura Ogden, our Community Health Nurse, has sent around a sign-up sheet to the various departments so sign up if you’re interested.
