This is just a friendly reminder, to the entire community (so spread the word!):
As the winter approaches and “cold season” in upon us, it is a good idea to clean off and sanitize the commonly-used surfaces at your work place on a regular basis. Wiping down your keyboard, telephone, doorknobs, etc, with an antiseptic wipe or using a diluted bleach solution (1 part bleach to 10 parts cold water) can help prevent the spread of illness, particularly during flu season. People can catch the flu and spread the bug before they have symptoms, so be aware that you might not know you are exposed!
If you do have flu-like symptoms, please stay at home to prevent the spread of illness. Flu-like symptoms include:
Acute onset of respiratory illness with fever and cough with one or more of:
- Sore muscles/joints (arthralgia/myalgia)
- Extreme fatigue/weakness (prostration)
- Sore throat
Flu clinics will be held during the first couple days of November, locations and times TBA. Signs will be posted with dates and times, and an email will go out.
AND REMEMBER, HANDWASHING IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO, RIGHT???
