We are Líl̓wat Nation located in the beautiful Pemberton Valley just minutes from Whistler, BC, We are a progressive and growing community with an annual operating budget in excess of 20 million dollars. We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled:
FINANCE MANAGER
Reporting to the Director of Finance , the successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and management of the team s efforts in managing day-to-day accounting functions, accounts payable, accounts receivable reconciliations , developing monthly financial statements and variance analysis, assisting in financial planning and reporting, and providing professional financial guidance / support to the Senior Management Team .
The successful individual will pose:
- Professional Accounting Designation, or nearing an accreditation of a CPA
- Minimum of five (5) years related professional experience, including two (2) or more years’ experience at the management level
- First Nations accounting experience is an asset
- Experience in financial budget and forecasting process
- Experience with internal controls and risk mitigation
- Experience working with related accounting software, including Microsoft Office, Sage ERP, AccPac, Sage Intelligence and other integrated accounting software
- Knowledge of year-end reporting and auditing requirements
- Knowledge of fund accounting an asset
- Demonstrated team energy and team building skills
- Proven ability to develop standard operating procedures and administrative routines
- Demonstrated ability to learn and respect our culture , traditions and lead by example on a daily basis
- Criminal Records Check and Bondable
