INTERNAL POSTING: Human Resources Advisor
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will have the responsibility to assist in providing leadership, professional knowledge and guidance / support in the design / development, administration and evaluation of human resource management affairs, including Human Resource Plans, Policy, Programs, Processes / Procedures, Information Systems, Files / Records and Reports.

Essential and Desired Qualifications:
Minimum of Grade 12 with related work experience
Prefer related Post-secondary Certificate or Diploma or Grade 12 with related Post-secondary Courses and / or Formal Training
Minimum of 3-4 years experience working for a First Nation Organization in Administration
Related human resource management experience preferred
Employee supervisory experience an asset
Prefer working knowledge of related Government Statutes, Standards, Regulations, and Programs
Must have other related Professional Qualities, including:
– Leadership skills
– Commitment to ensuring confidentiality
– Interpersonal and People skills
– Formal Planning and Organizational Skills
– Ability to work in a Consultative and Collaborative manner
– Ability to identify and report conflict of interest
– Communication Skills, both oral and written

– Ability to coach and mentor
– Ability to inspire respect and trust
– Ability to perform diverse duties and responsibilities
– Computer skills (Microsoft Applications)
