Wage/Salary:              $22.00/hour – $23.63/hour

The Operations Manager will oversee the janitor, the receptionist, the on-call workers, and the maintenance/janitor workers. The Operations Manager will oversee the continued operations of the Tśzil Learning Centre which includes the cleanliness, daily maintenance, and rentals of the rooms.

Key Deliverables:

  • Manages the janitor, receptionist, on-call workers, and maintenance/janitor worker
  • Creates and maintains a building maintenance plan to ensure building sustainability
  • Creates and maintains a building cleaning plan
  • Manages the room rentals
  • Prepares rooms for room rentals
  • Assists the janitor and maintenance/janitor workers
  • Liaises with maintenance contractors to ensure all system are fully functional and operating at maximum efficiency
  • Manages the cleaning inventory and purchasing
  • Manages the building key inventory
  • Manages the classroom inventory
  • Ensures that the building is clean and maintained
  • Creates and maintains a building operations plan
  • Achieves monthly room rental targets
  • Assists the team and leader with other deliverables as required

 Key Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Completion of grade 12
  • Minimum 3 years’ management experience
  • Minimum 1 year’s office administration experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ customer service experience
  • Experience as an operations/office manager an asset
  • Must be able to work the occasional evening and weekend
  • Must understand how to use cellphone apps
  • Building Service Worker 1 – 3 training an asset
  • SuperHost training an asset
  • Experience as a carpenter an asset
  • Experience as a janitor an asset
  • Advanced level computer skills and knowledge, including knowledge or an experience using Microsoft office and proficient data management skills
  • Possess a valid BC Driver’s License and a working vehicle
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs
