The Líl̓wat Nation is working to develop a Disorderly Conduct and Nuisances Bylaw to address issues that have been identified in the community, such as noise, vandalism, littering, trespassing, fighting, and more. Its development is supported by the Land Management Board and Chiefs and Council. The bylaw will set out rules and regulations to promote a safe and healthy community.
The bylaw is in draft form and we are currently collecting community feedback. We are hoping to hear from the community whether they support the bylaw and if they would like to see any changes made. Two community meetings have taken place. This feedback will be presented to Council who will decide how to incorporate it into the bylaw draft.
The attached presentation provides a comprehensive overview of the draft bylaw.
Please fill out the feedback form, submit it online and let us know your thoughts!
