The Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre is proud to announce the launch of the Lil’wat Weaving Wisdom exhibition. This collection of contemporary and traditional cedar woven pieces is the largest public display of its kind. Weaving is a spiritual process and one that continues today as a result of the guidance, inspiration, and dedication of many in our Nation.

We invite you to join us on this historic day and appreciate the skill, creativity and wisdom of Lil’wat weavers.  A blessing ceremony and light reception will take place on October 14th at 1:00pm to launch the exhibition and the installation of a Chief Mathias totem recently donated from a private collection.  Please RSVP to

The Squamish and Lil’wat Cultural Centre is a non-profit organization developed by the Squamish and Lil’wat Nations to educate and inspire others about the importance of Aboriginal culture.  The weaving exhibit is made possible by contributions from the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation and private donors.
