days prior to the election (in order to have their name removed from the Ballots).

The reason is Ballot Packages mailed to Off Reserve Voters must be done no later than 35 days before the Election.

The Indian Act Election Regulations further state that legally anyone can withdraw right up to the close of polls on Election day, however, any votes cast for these candidates will not be counted or reported.
