We need to get better prepared before the next big earthquake and practise how to protect ourselves when it happens. The purpose of the annual ShakeOut drill is to help people and organizations do both.

The date of ShakeOut BC is now aligned with California’s annual ShakeOut drill, which takes place the third Thursday of October. The inaugural ShakeOut BC drill took place earlier this year on January 26, 2011.
