Learning Environments That Focus on Student Engagement
Líl̓wat Nation students can receive quality pre-school, elementary, high school and post-secondary education without leaving the community.
Traditional values, such as Nt̓ákmen (Our Way), inform how education, from pre-school to post-secondary, is delivered to the community. Xet̓ólacw Community School and the Ts̓zil Learning Centre provide positive and empowering learning environments where Líl̓wat culture and values are taught and celebrated.
Xet̓ólacw Community School provides unique opportunities for pre-K to Grade 12 students, such as Uclwalmicwts Immersion education for children four to eight years old and cultural Super Courses for high school students. The Ts̓zil Learning Centre offers a variety of academic upgrading, academic and training opportunities for adult learners 18 and older, including trades training and, as funding permits, career certification and university credit courses.
