Líl̓wat Nation is pleased to announce its COVID-19 Spending Plan

Earlier this year, Líl̓wat Nation engaged Nation First Consulting to extensively surveyed the community to determine how to apply $800,000 of COVID-19 funding. The following COVID- Spending Plan has been endorsed by Chiefs and Council.

“This plan addresses the needs of everyone in the community. From a Splash Park for our children to firewood for our Elders, this plan has something or everyone,” says Kúkwpi7 Skalúlmecw Chief Dean Nelson. “It’s a plan that will help all Líl̓wat families, living in and outside of the communities.”

One of the most innovative parts of the spending plan is the Líl̓wat Community Grant Program that provides members with the opportunity to apply for funding to host events that build community and connection. (Application process will be determined and publicized in early 2022.)
